Multiple exposures of P3D rats to the low concentration of sevoflurane within one day. The P3D rats were exposed with 1% sevoflurane for 2 h once a day (SID), and the exposure was repeated once (BID) and twice (TID) with a 1-h interval within one day. Compared with the air comparison, the SID exposure animals showed spatial memory injury at the early three weeks, i.e. at the 9th, 10th, and 11th, after the Morris Water Maze (MWM) training. For the BID rats, the memory injury was more severe than the SID animals showing that both latency and the swimming distance were prolonged and the injury lasted longer up to 7 weeks, and even to the 15th week after the MWM training. For the TID animals.

DNA methylation after spared nerve injury (SNI). Different areas of the central nervous system showed different levels' methylation detected with Chip-CHIP.

Kaplan-Meier curves for the length of labor. Arrows indicate median values of the time. Time to the active phase of the first stage of labor. The difference in both of the median time was –19 min (95% CI, –37 to –8 min.

Production of MIF by the spinal neurons after CCI injury. Immunofluorescent co-localization revealed that MIF coexists with NeuN, but not with CD11b or GFAPin the ipsilateral spinal cord dorsal horn after CCI injury (red color: Texas Red–conjugated antibody; green color: FITC-conjugated antibody; scale bar: 40 microm). MIF- macrophage migration inhibitory factor; CCI - chronic constriction sciatic nerve injury; FITC - fluorescein isothiocyanate; GFAP - glial fibrillary acidic protein; NeuN - neuronal nuclei.
